The 'raupo block' (E) is being developed into a raupo swamp that will filter all of the water exiting the big pond of the damsite block and the surface water from all of the other blocks that enter the big pond or from the culling block. This water used to enter a farm drain ditch behind the big pond that carried the water to the Weka Stree drain and eventually to the Pohangina River.
