Spring Pond

Spring Pond (2009) was formed by digging a head around a natural spring in the damsite block paddock,
allowing water to back up to form the pond.

The overflow at the right, as seen in the pic below, flows into the Upper Big Pond, not seen as it is below the head of Spring Pond.
The pond in the far distance is Big Pond.

The water from Big Pond flows out via a large culvert to the left near the 2 poplar trees into a drain that flows into the Raupo Block created in 2012.
After flowing into the second Raupo Pond, the water enters Weka Street Drain taking the flow to Pohangina River.

The water from Spring Pond (2009) overflows into Upper Big Pond before flowing into Big Pond (both unseen to the right).

This view (2009) looks south onto the damsite block from the pathway at the top of the block.
Water flowing over the pathway comes from Triangle Pond and enters into the left side of Spring Pond seen in the middle.
