Drain Pond (2009) is just beyond the lookout sign.
The water in this pond is underground seepage water from the Triangle Pond and Spring Pond.
There are capped overflow pipes from these ponds that can be opened to drain into the Drain Pond.
Water from the Drain Pond overflow enters Big Pond, the pond in the far distant background.
The pond on the right is Spring Pond and the water flowing into it comes from Triangle pond (see aerial view of damsite block).
